WHAT IS STEM?

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) refers to four areas of science: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS. These areas are interconnected and are often studied together to enable complex problem solving and innovation.

ABOUT PROJECT

The general goal of the project is to improve the application of digital technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Western Balkan through the exchange of experiences between HEIs from Western Balkan and the Visegrad region. The project will refer to teaching processes in subjects covering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The specific goals of the project are:

  • Exchange of experience and practice in the application of digital transformation in higher education through joint webinars and workshops,
  • Improvement of digital competences of teaching, non-teaching staff and students,
  • Creation of a joint publication that includes guidelines and instructions for the application of digital transformation in higher education for STEM subjects.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
